Stronger Together

Welcome to the Protect Our Lake Shore Peninsula Community Preservation Project

Over 300 Townhouses could be built at this critical Mountain Road Intersection.   Anne Arundel County Office of Planning and Zoning supports the rezoning of the Pasadena Golf Center property, which would bring multi-unit housing to an area zoned low density. Join in the fight to protect our community against overdevelopment.

Our
Story

Get to Know Us

Protect Our Lake Shore Peninsula is a group of local residents from the Lake Shore and surrounding Pasadena area dedicated to preserving our community and protecting it against overdevelopment.

PLSP offers shirts, yard signs, and other promotional materials to fight the rezoning of the golf center. Shirts and yard sign proceeds will pay for hosting the website, printing of community letters and background materials for the Council, and other - we hope - buses to show up at the public hearing to oppose the rezoning efforts.

In Maryland, zoning must be consistent with planned land use. In 2021, the AACo Council adopted the Plan2040 Planned Land Use Map. The County is conducting comprehensive zoning in tandem with Region Plans. Regions 2, 4, and 7 will undergo comprehensive zoning starting in 2023.
